The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next two days.

The Met Department has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and North- Eastern parts of the country today.

According to IMD, Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are very likely to experience hot and humid weather conditions till tomorrow.
