The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions in parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan today. Heatwave conditions over these regions are expected to continue for the next 3 to 4 days. Hot and humid weather is also likely to persist over Konkan and Goa during the day, while warm night conditions are expected in Rajasthan.

The weather agency has also predicted heavy rainfall in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal today. Thunderstorms and lightning are likely in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab. Similar weather conditions are expected over Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, and parts of the northeastern states.

The IMD further said that dust storms are likely in parts of Rajasthan today.
