IMD forecasts fog in Northeast, heavy rain in South; Delhi air quality worsens

 
The India Meteorological department has forecast dense fog conditions at isolated pockets of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and North-West Uttar Pradesh today. According to IMD, There will be a fall in minimum temperature by 2 to 3 degree celsius over parts of northwest India during the next two days. The weather agency has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today. The weather department has also said that Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep will witness heavy rainfall at isolated places.
 
 
Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to be in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 364 as of 7 AM today. In view of the poor air quality, the Commission for Air Quality Management has imposed Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan in the national capital and adjoining areas.
