India Meteorological Department(IMD) has forecast dense to very dense fog conditions over Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh today. Dense fog conditions will prevail over Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad for the day. The Met Department has also forecast similar conditions over Odisha, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Northeast India.

Cold wave conditions will prevail over Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan. Further, East Uttar Pradesh will witness cold day conditions. The weather agency has said that thunderstorms and lightning with gusty winds are expected to prevail over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands till the 31st of this month. Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR has been registered in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index of the National Capital was recorded at 391 as of 7 AM today.
