IMD forecasts cold wave over Punjab & Madhya Maharashtra for the next 2-3 days

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions over Punjab and Madhya Maharashtra for the next two to three days. According to IMD, dense fog conditions are likely to prevail during early morning hours in isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Odisha for two days. The weather agency has informed that Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to receive heavy rainfall tomorrow. The Met Department has predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning over Andhra Pradesh, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu Puducherry and Karaikal till Thursday. 
 
 
IMD has directed a total suspension of fishing operations over southwest and adjoining west central Bay of Bengal and along and off Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and north Sri Lanka coasts till tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR is in the Very Poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index of the region was recorded at 388 as of 7 PM today.
