India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions over Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, North Interior Karnataka, Odisha, Telangana and West Madhya Pradesh today.

 

 

The Met Department also predicted dense fog conditions at isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh. Similar conditions are expected in Northeast India over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Odisha.

 

 

At the same time, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are expected to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, the IMD said.

 

 

Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to be in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital was recorded at 329 as of 7 AM this morning.
