IMD Forecasts Cold Wave in Several States, Thunderstorms in South; Delhi-NCR Air Quality Poor

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions in Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Madhya Maharashtra for tomorrow. Similar conditions will prevail over Marathwada, North Interior Karnataka, Odisha, Punjab, Telangana and West Madhya Pradesh till tomorrow. The Met Department has said that dense fog conditions are likely to prevail over Assam, Meghalaya, East Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Odisha for the next two days.
 
IMD has predicted thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal for tomorrow. Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR has been registered in the Poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the region was recorded at 277 as of 7 PM today.
