IMD forecasts cold wave in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and North Rajasthan

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions to prevail over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and north Rajasthan today.
 
According to the IMD, Dense fog conditions will prevail during early morning hours over pockets of Assam, Meghalaya and Odisha today and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Himachal Pradesh till tomorrow.
 
Minimum temperatures are likely to fall by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the Central, Northeast and Eastern parts of the country during the next two to three days. 
 
The weather agency has also forecast light to moderate rainfall over North Coastal Tamil Nadu, Kerala and South Interior Karnataka today. 
 
Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to remain in the Poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the region was recorded at 300 as of 7 PM today.
