The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka, Telangana and West Madhya Pradesh today.

According to IMD, Dense to very Dense fog conditions are likely to prevail at isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh and East Madhya Pradesh. dense fog is expected at isolated pockets of West Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh. Similar conditions are also expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Odisha.

Meanwhile, air quality in Delhi-NCR has shown a marginal improvement but continues to remain in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the average Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital stood at 329 as of 7 AM today, improving from the earlier severe levels.
