The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave conditions over Punjab, Haryana, East Rajasthan and Jharkhand today. The Met Department also predicted fog at isolated pockets over Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Odisha. Besides, heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR has been registered in the Very Poor category this morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the region was recorded at 325 as of 7 AM today.
