IMD issues orange warning for dense fog in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Delhi & UP 

 The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange colour warning for dense to very dense fog in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for tomorrow. The weather agency has predicted dense fog over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and the north-eastern states for the next two days. 
 
The Met Department has said that cold wave conditions will continue over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Jharkhand and Odisha till tomorrow. IMD has forecast squally weather conditions to prevail along and off the Sri Lanka coast, over many parts of the Bay of Bengal, the Gulf of Mannar and adjoining areas, and some parts of the Comorin area for the next two days.
 
According to IMD, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the southeast Bay of Bengal. Meanwhile, they have been advised to avoid venturing into the southwestern Bay of Bengal until Saturday.
