The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall over parts of the Northeastern states, Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Konkan, Goa, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today. The Met department has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Bihar, Odisha, Telangana, West Bengal and Sikkim during the next two to three days.
