India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh today. Isolated heavy rainfall is likely to continue over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh till 12th of this month. Heavy rainfall is likely over Karnataka, Bihar and Jharkhand. IMD said that heavy rainfall likely to continue over Northeast and adjoining East India during next 7 days. Meanwhile, red alert has been issued for very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh for tomorrow.

The weather agency further said that isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema till Saturday. Fishermen are advised to avoid venturing into the Arabian Sea along Kerala, Karnataka and Lakshadweep, Maharashtra and Goa coasts till 11th of this month.
