IFFI 2025 in Goa Will Serve as Global Bridge for Creators: Dr. L Murugan

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr L Murugan, said that the upcoming International Film Festival of India – IFFI 2025 in Goa will serve as a bridge for creators to the world. Addressing a Press Conference in New Delhi, Dr Murugan said that with 240 films from 81 countries set to screen at the film festival, IFFI will provide a global platform to Indian cinema.
 
 
He added that IFFI will also incorporate new technologies with a dedicated section for AI and AI-based content. He also mentioned that over 50 films directed by women will be screened this year, giving impetus to the government’s vision of Nari Shakti.
 
 
Meanwhile, Information and Broadcasting Secretary Sanjay Jaju said that the opening ceremony on 20th of this month will be marked by a carnival and parade, celebrating the cinematic journey of the country. The Parade will be feature exhibitions from leading production houses, state governments, and cultural troupes.
 
 
He noted that IFFI is an effort to showcase the cinematic diversity of the country. Mr Jaju added it will provide opportunities to global filmmakers to screen their movies for cinephiles from not just India but across the world.
