The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology hosted Institute-Industry Interaction for Climate Resilient Agriculture and Clean Energy to commemorate the first anniversary of the BioE3 Policy in New Delhi today.
The Ministry of Science and Technology said in a statement that the event was organised in collaboration with premier national research institutions to deliberate ways of accelerating the lab-to-market transition of innovations in agriculture and clean energy.
The programme witnessed participation from industry stakeholders with an overview of the applied potential of emerging technologies and their role in advancing India’s bio economy.
BioE3 Policy is a flagship initiative of the government integrating biotechnology with Economy, Environment, and Employment. The policy was approved by the Union Cabinet in 2024 to achieve Net Zero carbon emissions by 2070 while fostering innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth.
