Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Director General Paramesh Sivamani today inaugurated the Waterjet Production and Testing Facility in Goa. Ministry of Defence highlighted that with this advanced production and testing facility, established under the Manufacturing and Transfer of Technology framework, India has become the third country in the world, after the United States and South Korea, to host such a facility.

The newly inaugurated unit will strengthen the domestic supply chain, enable indigenous testing of waterjet systems, and emerge as a regional hub catering to South Asia and adjoining regions. The initiative is also expected to generate employment, support the MSME ecosystem, and enhance technology absorption in the country. The new facility will significantly boost operational sustenance and strengthen indigenous maintenance capabilities.
