The Indian Council of Agriculture Research – Eastern Region Research Complex (ICAR-RCER) is celebrating its Silver Jubilee function today in Patna. A specially designed model of integrated farming for women will be launched on Saturday on the the foundation day. Talking to Akashvani News, the Director of the institute Dr Anup Das said it is a micro, nano homestead model which will ensure nutritional needs and round year income.

The ICAR-RCER (भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद का पूर्वी अनुसंधान परिसर) is an institute of national importance which works for seven states of eastern India including Bihar and Jharkhand. Dr Das added that in a significant contribution to the fight against climate change, the ICAR-RCER has developed 12 climate-change-resilient varieties of paddy and several models to mitigate the global challenge of climate change for agriculture.
