The spirit of Deepavali has completely taken over Hyderabad, with a day before the festival of lights, the city’s old and new bazaars and shopping centres were bustling with hectic activity. Heavy rush was witnessed at sweet shops, gifting outlets, flower markets, jewellery stores, malls and wholesale cracker stores.

 

 

Almost all the commercial establishments, individual houses, apartments and offices in every nook and corner of Hyderabad have been lit up by colourful lights, welcoming the festive spirit of Diwali. Meanwhile, greeting the people of Telangana, Governor Jishnu Dev Verma appealed to them to buy the local products to celebrate this festival so as to bring new light into the lives of the indigenous manufacturers in the true spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
