The death toll from Hurricane Melissa has increased to seven as it barrels northeast through the Caribbean Sea. The category five Hurricane has killed three people in Haiti and Jamaica each and one person in the Dominican Republic. Jamaica’s Prime Minister, Andrew Holness, has ordered a mandatory evacuation of low-lying areas as the island prepares for the Hurricane’s landfall. The two international airports in Jamaica have also shuttered, suspending all operations over the weekend. Warnings are also in place for Cuba and the southeastern Bahamas.
