The human rights organization, Paank, reported two severe cases of violence against civilians by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan. The group confirmed that the body of Ayaz Baloch, a school teacher who was kidnapped 14 months ago, was found yesterday with multiple gunshot wounds in the Awaran district, adding that his cousin, Imdad Baloch, is still missing. Additionally, Paank condemned the recent disappearance of 57 year old Dr. Shabir Ahmed, who was reportedly taken from his home by Frontier Corps personnel on 1 January. The organization stated that these acts specifically targeting teachers and doctors are grave violations of international law and part of a disturbing pattern of illegal killings and disappearances in the region.
