House of civilian martyr Syed Adil Hussain Shah inaugurated in Pahalgam

The house of Syed Adil Hussain Shah, one of the civilian martyrs in last year’s April 22 terrorist attack in tourist resort of Pahalgam, was inaugurated at a solemn ceremony in the Pahalgam tourist resort area in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district yesterday. The function was attended by senior leaders from Maharashtra. The Maharashtra government Cabinet Ministers Sanjay Shirsat and Yogesh Kadam were present on the occasion. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde joined virtually.

The event also saw participation of Shiv Sena leader Bajirao Chavan and Shiv Sena’s Kashmir State President Mohd Shafi Magray. The leaders paid tributes to the martyr and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family assuring more support for their better life.

Meanwhile, the security has been beefed up in view of first anniversary of last year’s April 22 terrorist attack that left 25 outside tourists dead besides one local ponywala, in the Baisaran meadow of famous tourist resort at Pahalgam. Following the attack, the Operation Sindoor was launched to eliminate terrorist infrastructure across border in Pakistan Occupied JK and Pakistan. The joint patrol of all security agencies have been put on high alert across both regions in Jammu & Kashmir particularly along Line of Control and International Border. J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in their separate messages said that the sacrifices of the innocent civilians won’t be forgotten and pledged unwavering commitment and resolute determination to eradicate terrorism from the soil of Jammu & Kashmir. Almost all senior leaders from different political parties have paid tributes to Baisaran Pahalgam martyrs. Meanwhile, a senior BJP leader in South Kashmir Sofi Yousuf led a rally to remember the Pahalgam martyrs expressing solidarity with the bereaved families while paying tributes to all those who lost their lives in the gruesome attack.
