In Jammu and Kashmir, in a major step towards strengthening rural healthcare delivery, the District Administration Ramban is taking medical services to the doorsteps of people in remote and far-flung areas through the ongoing “Hospital on Wheels” initiative.  As part of this initiative, a Mobile Medical Camp was organised at Village Ind, Medical Block Gool to bridge the healthcare gap in inaccessible areas by providing timely treatment, free medicines, essential diagnostics and creating health awareness among the rural population.

A dedicated medical team, comprising doctors and paramedical staff, attended to over 160 patients, including 145 in General OPD and 21 in Dental consultations, besides conducting basic investigations such as blood sugar, anaemia and malaria testing. Screenings for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and Tuberculosis under NTEP were also carried out. Notably, 30 ABHA IDs were generated to promote digital health services under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
