Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah today asked party workers to ensure a massive victory in poll-bound Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. He asserted that the NDA alliance has been on a winning spree in the Assembly elections all over the country, and it can be rest assured that the feat would be repeated in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
Addressing a public meeting at Pudukottai this evening, he said that the ruling dispensation is all about dynastic rule and is synonymous with corruption and should be disowned by the people of the State. The BJP leader said that it was time for the formation of the NDA Government with the AIADMK alliance to rule the State of Tamil Nadu.
He said that the Narendra Modi led Government has been steadily increasing the allocation for the State and gave comparative statistics of the development projects in the State for the past ten years. He said that from 2004 to 2014, the UPA government had allocated one lakh 53 thousand rupees worth projects, whereas after 2014, the Modi Government had allocated 11 lakh Crore rupees worth projects.
Mr Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave special attention to Tamil Nadu and the ancient Tamil language and culture by bringing Sengol to the Parliament and also for nominating C.P. Radhakrishnan for the Vice President post. He also listed out the tainted ministers in the DMK regime, including ministers who have been accused of money laundering, cash for job scam, sand mining, and coal mining, among others. He alleged that the DMK had violated the Constitutional rights of the Hindus in not permitting religious rallies in the State.
The party leaders in charge of the Tamil Nadu election, namely Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Arjun Ram Meghwal, attended the meeting.
