Senior BJP leader Amit Shah alleges ruling DMK government in Tamil Nadu to be a failure; Asks party workers to expose it

Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has asked party workers and leaders to ensure the NDA’s victory in the ensuing assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. In a closed-door meeting of party workers at Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu today, he asked party workers to take forward the welfare schemes of the Modi Government to the people at large.

Mr. Shah was in Tamil Nadu on a two-day visit, stepping up the BJP’s outreach ahead of the Assembly elections. He asked party workers to expose the failures of the ruling DMK government in Tamil Nadu and work hard towards the NDA’s success in elections. He also emphasised the need to expose corrupt leaders of the DMK Government.

During his visit, Mr. Shah also held discussions with leaders of the AIADMK to undertake the journey in challenging the present ruling dispensation of the State. In a public meeting yesterday, he stepped up attacks on Chief Minister M K Stalin over governance, corruption and dynasty politics. Mr. Shah also mentioned NDA’s victory in assembly elections in Bihar, Odisha and other states and expressed confidence that NDA will repeat this success in Tamil Nadu Assembly elections too, which is due in a few months. Mr. Shah also joined Pongal celebrations in Tiruchirappalli under the party’s ‘Namma Ooru Modi Pongal’ programme.
