Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat vision will become a reality only through the development of the southern states.
Viksit Keralam is an integral part of Viksit Bharat, Mr. Shah said while addressing a ward-level leadership meeting of BJP at Putharikandam Maidan in Thiruvananthapuram today.
He emphasised that governance without corruption, equal access to government schemes, and development that goes beyond political interests are the three core visions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that are fundamental to Kerala’s development.
The Union Home Minister also reiterated the Modi government’s commitment to national security, highlighting the strong response to terrorism through Operation Sindoor and the Surgical Strike.
BJP State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar, BJP’s Kerala Prabhari Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister of State George Kurien, and other prominent leaders attended the event.
Around 36,000 leaders from the southern districts of Kerala also took part in the event, held ahead of the upcoming local body elections in the state later this year.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Shah inaugurated the new state office building of the BJP in Thiruvananthapuram.
Union Home Minister is scheduled to leave for Kannur this afternoon and visit the famous Rajarajeshwara Temple in Taliparamba to offer prayers.
