Home Minister Amit Shah today paid tributes to the sixth Guru of Sikhism, Guru Hargobind Sahib, on his Jyoti-Jot day.
In a social media post, Mr Shah said that Guru Hargobind Sahib established the tradition of the saint-soldier, making Sikhism a powerful instrument for the protection of humanity.
The Home Minister added that by founding Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Guru Hargobind Sahib strengthened Sikhism and also conveyed the message of Hindu-Sikh unity.
