Vice President, Prime Minister & Home Minister greets people on Prakash Purab of Guru Tegh Bahadur

Vice President C P Radhakrishnan today paid homage to revered spiritual leader Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on the occasion of the Parkash Purab. In a social media post, the Vice President said that his life remains an eternal symbol of courage, sacrifice and steadfast commitment to truth, human dignity and freedom of faith. Mr Radhakrishnan expressed hope that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s timeless teachings continue to guide people in building a society founded on justice, compassion and harmony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid homage to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on the occasion of his Parkash Purab. Prime Minister Modi called him a towering spiritual great of the country’s civilization. In a social media post, PM Modi said that Guru Tegh Bahadur’s life was a radiant example of fearlessness, sacrifice and deep concern for humanity. The Prime Minister said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji stood firm in defence of truth, dignity and faith, even in the face of grave adversity. Mr Modi expressed hope that Guru Tegh Bahadur’s eternal message guides people in creating a just, compassionate and harmonious society.

Home Minister Amit Shah greeted people on the Prakash Purab of ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur ji. In a social media post, Amit Shah said, Guru Tegh Bahadur made supreme sacrifice to protect Indian culture and humanity. He said Guru Tegh Bahadur deemed it appropriate to give up his life rather than renounce his faith. The Home Minister said, by standing firm against the injustice and tyranny of cruel rulers, Guru Tegh Bahadur set an example of compassion and empathy. He said recalling the life story of Guru Sahib fills the heart with pride.
