Home Minister Amit Shah greeted people on the Prakash Purab of ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur. In a social media post, Amit Shah said, Guru Tegh Bahadur made supreme sacrifice to protect Indian culture and humanity. He said Guru Tegh Bahadur deemed it appropriate to give up his life rather than renounce his faith. The Home Minister said, by standing firm against the injustice and tyranny of cruel rulers, Guru Tegh Bahadur set an example of compassion and empathy. He said recalling the life story of Guru Sahib fills the heart with pride.
