Union Home Minister Amit Shah today extended his greetings to the countrymen on the occasion of birth anniversary of the Third Guru of Sikhism, Guru Amar Das.

In a social media post, Mr Shah remembered Sikh Guru for inspiring humanity to renounce ego and embrace the path of service, dedication, and remembrance of the Divine Name. The Minister also highlighted revolutionary steps by Guru Amar Das in securing respect and equal rights for women in society. He further wished that divine life and his lofty ideals of Guru Sahib remain an eternal source of inspiration for humankind.
