Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah alleged that the West Bengal government prioritises providing land for infiltrators over allocating land for border fencing. He also claimed that development in the state has been stalled due to a culture of cut money, extortion, and communal appeasement.
While commemorating the 80th anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose hoisting the Azad Hind flag in Port Blair, in Kolkata, Mr Shah highlighted concerns over women’s safety and Industrial migration from Bengal. He urged the people to give the BJP a chance to restore the state’s lost glory and fulfil the dreams of its great icons.
He asserted that the current era of misrule, corruption, and infiltration under the Trinamool Congress would be replaced by a government focused on good governance and the welfare of the poor. The Home Minister also accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of patronising infiltration for political gains while obstructing the BSF and the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
