Himachal Pradesh: Child sex ratio increases from 947 to 964 in last three years

The child sex ratio in Himachal Pradesh has increased from 947 to 964 in the last three years. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu stated in Shimla that this improvement is a result of the government’s continuous and serious efforts for the safety and respect of girl children. He said that this positive development has laid the foundation for several new and important welfare measures.

The Chief Minister said that all 18,925 Anganwadi centres in the state are being upgraded to Anganwadi-cum-pre-schools. Children aged 3 to 6 years will receive play-based early childhood education at these centres.
