रिजर्व बैंक के पूर्व गर्वनर शक्तिकांत दास को प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी का प्रधान सचिव द्वितीय नियुक्त किया गया है। श्री दास के चयन को कैबिनेट की नियुक्ति समिति ने मंजूरी दे दी है।
वे तमिलनाडु कैडर के 1980 बैच के भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा के सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारी हैं। श्री दास का कार्यकाल अगले आदेश तक प्रभावी होगा।
