Helicopter crash in Qatar leaves six dead, one still missing

In Qatar, six people were killed in a helicopter crash in the country’s territorial waters. The Interior Ministry said that six bodies have been recovered so far, while search operations continue for the last missing person.

The Defence Ministry stated that the helicopter went down after suffering a technical malfunction during a routine mission. Authorities have not released details about the identities of those on board, and there is no indication at this stage of any hostile involvement.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions across West Asia, with the Gulf nation facing repeated drone and missile attacks in recent weeks following US-Israeli strikes on Iran. Key energy infrastructure, including Ras Laffan Industrial City, has been targeted multiple times.
