The Regional Met department has predicted rain for another four days for the coastal region of Tamil Nadu.

According to the Met Department, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and concentrate into a depression over central parts of South Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal. Owing to the present situation, a heavy to very heavy rain warning is given to the delta districts, including Thanjavur, Cuddalore and Ramanathapuram.

Heavy rain is likely to occur at Tuticorin, Kanyakumari, and Tirunelveli and also in the northern districts of the state, including Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kanchipuram, till the 24th of this month.
