Kerala Chief Electoral Officer Rathan U. Kelkar has said that hearings on the draft voters list, prepared as part of the SIR, will be conducted in a manner that does not inconvenience the public. He was speaking at a state-level meeting of recognised political parties convened at Thiruvananthapuram today.

The Chief Electoral Officer said special arrangements will be made to conduct hearings without requiring physical presence for persons with disabilities and senior citizens. He added that the measures are aimed at ensuring inclusiveness and ease of participation for all eligible voters during the revision process.
