Haryana police arrests Md Tarif from Nuh district on charges of spying

Haryana Police and Central Investigation Agencies have arrested a person named Mohammad Tarif from village Kangarka of Tawadu subdivision in Nuh district on charges of spying for Pakistan. According to the police, this arrest has been made two days after the arrest of Arman from Rajaka village on charges of spying. Tarif is accused of providing confidential information related to Indian military activities to two employees posted in Pakistan High Commission in Delhi through WhatsApp.
Our correspondent reports that the police have registered a case against Mohammad Tarif and Pakistani citizens Asif Baloch and Jafar posted in Pakistan High Commission under the sections of official secrets Act and treason. According to the police, he was detained by the Special Police Force from Chandigarh and the Central Investigation Agency with the help of Tawadu Crime Investigation Branch and Police from near Radha Swami Satsang Ghar in village Bavla late last evening.
Before being detained, Tarif also tried to delete some chats in his mobile after seeing the police team in front of him. Investigation revealed that there were Pakistani WhatsApp numbers in his mobile, while some data has been deleted.
