Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today urged farmers to adopt crop diversification, encouraging them to move away from traditional farming practices. Addressing the farmers at Haryana Agricultural University in Hisar, he said that diversification can significantly increase farmers’ income. He also encouraged farmers to focus on the production of coarse grains. The Chief Minister also addressed a pre-budget consultation meeting at the University. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the double-engine government is consistently working towards the welfare of farmers. He said that the government’s goal is to enhance farmers’ income and make them economically prosperous.
