Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has congratulated the media fraternity on National Press Day and announced a cashless medical facility for journalists. The Chief Minister also assured that the demand for land for journalists’ housing society is under consideration and the government is looking into it seriously.

The Chief Minister was addressing the journalists in a programme organized on National Press Day in Chandigarh today. He praised journalists for their service to the nation, society and the people adding that the media is playing an active role in nation-building. Mr Saini stressed that the role of journalists in protecting democratic values is very important.
