To mark the 79th Independence Day of the country, a procession was organized in Agartala today by the North East Regional Centre of Lalit Kala Akademi, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The main attraction of this rally, which was part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, was a procession featuring bust-sized statues of 45 unsung freedom fighters from Tripura and the North East region.
In addition, members of the academy participated in the rally on motorcycles, holding the national flag. A tribute was paid to a total of 45 unsung freedom fighters in this procession, including 37 from Tripura and 8 from the rest of the North Eastern states.
