The nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the Ujjayanta Palace, the resplendent royal palace in Agartala.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha led the Tiranga rally, which saw the participation of Olympian Deepa Karmakar and people from different corners of society.
The event witnessed all present for the programme singing the national anthem Jana Gana Mana in unison.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister, Dr. Saha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in 2022. Today, this program is being observed with reverence in every corner of the country.
Through this program, he has recalled a new connection and pulse towards the tricolor.
The main objective of this program is to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and awaken national consciousness. It is the duty of every citizen to respect the national flag. Let us all together uphold the great ideals of the country’s sovereignty, integrity, unity and patriotism, he added.
The chief minister paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the country through the Har Ghar Tiranga programme.
He said that this program is being observed in the state in three phases from August 2 to August 15. He urged everyone to make the Har Ghar Tiranga program a great success.
The chief minister and the other guests along with the students from different schools and colleges and representatives from various institutions took a march through different streets of the city carrying the tricolor.
