‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign Sparks Patriotic Fervour Across Maharashtra

Across Maharashtra, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is sweeping the state with patriotic fervour. From bustling cities to rural villages, government bodies, schools, police units, and citizens are coming together to hoist the national flag and take part in patriotic activities as part of the nationwide drive running from 2nd to 15th August.

In Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is hosting Tiranga rallies, cultural programmes, marathons, rangoli competitions, and public awareness drives. Citizens have been urged to hoist the national flag at home and upload photographs on the official campaign website.

In Ratnagiri, hundreds of police personnel and citizens participated in a five-kilometre ‘Drug-Free Ratnagiri Run’, followed by a beach-cleaning drive. Sindhudurg witnessed Tiranga rallies, flag-hoisting, and tributes to freedom fighters in Vaibhavwadi and Vengurla. In Jalna district’s Wakulni village, the Central Bureau of Communication, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, in association with local schools and colleges, organised a spirited Tiranga rally through the village. The programme included flag-hoisting ceremonies, patriotic slogans, a rangoli competition, a quiz for students, and a tree plantation drive. Students also pledged to hoist the national flag at their homes on Independence Day.

Panvel and Sangli civic bodies held school-level rangoli and painting contests, while Dhule Municipal Corporation took out a grand Tiranga bike rally through the city. Police personnel, NCC cadets and local youth participated in the rally. Schools in rural areas, such as Karanja taluka, organised cleanliness awareness rallies alongside flag-related activities. In Palghar, the Municipal council honoured ex-servicemen under the ‘Tiranga Tribute’ initiative. Across the state, the campaign is fostering unity, patriotism, and respect for the national flag in the run-up to Independence Day.
