The birth anniversary of the ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, was celebrated with much reverence and devotion at Gurudwara Guru Ke Mahal, the birthplace of the Guru in Amritsar.

 

A religious procession was taken out from the Akal Takht in Sri Harmandir Sahib for Gurdwara Guru ka Mahal yesterday. After the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at the Gurdwara, famous Kirtani Jathas recited Guru ki Baani at the Gurmat Samagam (religious gathering) today.

 

Religious leaders appealed to the sangat to follow the path shown by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji who’s life and martyrdom would continue to serve as an example for the whole of humanity. Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann have paid homage to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on this occasion.
