The Gujarat State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, today announced a significant increase in power supply for agricultural feeders across multiple districts, ahead of the Rabi crop season.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi announced that farmers in six districts-including Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Patan, Surendranagar, Vav-Tharad, and Morbi-will receive 10 hours of electricity supply instead of the eight hours. Mr Sanghavi said that more than 58 thousand farmers across the state will benefit from the decision, which aims to ensure adequate irrigation for Rabi crops.
