In Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel held a high-level meeting at State Emergency Operation Centre in Gandhinagar today to review state’s alertness and preparedness. The Chief Minister also held a video conference with the administration, police and senior officials of border districts namely Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan and Jamnagar and took stock of the security and safety and medical arrangements being put in place. In view of the prevailing situation on the international border, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi announced a state-wide ban on firecrackers and drones at all public and private events until May 15. Meanwhile, Gujarat Police have filed four FIRs against individuals for spreading anti-national sentiments intended to demoralize the armed forces.
