GST Reforms Under GST Bachat Utsav Benefit Farmers and Industries in Haryana

GST Bachat Utsav, which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and commenced on the 22nd of last month, is benefiting all sections of society.

The new GST reform is a big relief for Haryana’s farmers, manufacturers, and small enterprises. Under the reformed tax structure, GST on a wide range of goods has been reduced, making them more affordable and strengthening the state’s industrial base.

With the reduced GST from 28 per cent to 18 per cent on automotive components, the new reforms will make vehicles more affordable. This step will also improve Haryana’s export potential to automotive markets in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

In agriculture and allied sectors, farm machinery, implements, and fertilisers that earlier attracted 18 per cent GST are taxed at 5 per cent, reducing costs for farmers and encouraging greater mechanisation.

These changes are expected to stimulate higher sales, preserve and create employment, and energise both rural and industrial economies, especially during the festive season and in the periods ahead.
