The ‘Green Shipping Conclave 2025’ was inaugurated today at Powai in Mumbai. Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Shantanu Thakur and Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Arsenio Dominguez attended the event.
Speaking to Akashvani, Mr. Thakur said the Green Shipping Conclave is a great initiative of India. He said there is a lot of pollution and carbon emissions happening globally, and there is a need to take initiatives to save ourselves from this. International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez said there are a lot of expectations from the younger generation. He said it is necessary to continuously raise a voice for various good initiatives in the shipping sector because this sector is achieving ambitious goals.
