The Government has released 213.9 crore rupees as Fifteenth Finance Commission United Grants for Rural Local Bodies in Assam for the financial year 2025-26. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj today informed us that this amount constitutes the first instalment for the current financial year. The Ministry said that the funds have been released for all 2,192 eligible Gram Panchayats, 182 eligible Block Panchayats and 27 eligible Zilla Parishads across the State.
