The fact-check unit of the Press Information Bureau clarified that the video is AI-generated and a deepfake. The Unit added that no such statement has been made by ADG Major General CS Mann. The PIB has stated that Pakistani propaganda accounts are circulating such manipulated videos as part of a coordinated disinformation campaign to mislead the public. It has urged citizens to always verify the information from credible sources before trusting and sharing it. It also asked people to report any such misleading or manipulated content.
