In Jammu and Kashmir in view of the inclement and adverse weather conditions all Government and Private schools across Jammu Division for today. Akashvani’s correspondent reports, the decision comes in the wake of warnings issued by authorities regarding inclement weather conditions till tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Met Department has issued a warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms across the Union Territory till tomorrow, cautioning that the weather may trigger cloudbursts, flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones in vulnerable areas.

The weather department said parts of the Jammu division, including Jammu, Reasi, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch, Samba, and Kathua, are likely to receive heavy rainfall, while Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, and some places in the Kashmir division may witness moderate to intense showers with gusty winds. People have been advised to avoid going near water bodies and unstable structures during this period. Travelers, transporters, tourists, and trekkers have also been urged to plan journeys carefully.
