Govt launches Survey Module and Waqf Property Lease Module on UMEED Portal

The Government has launched the Survey Module and the Waqf Property Lease Module on the UMEED Portal to make the management of Waqf properties transparent, people-friendly, and accountable. The Minority Affairs Ministry said the Survey Module provides a comprehensive digital framework for capturing, managing, and updating information related to the survey of Waqf properties on the portal.

The Ministry said the Waqf Property Lease Management Module has been designed to facilitate end-to-end management of leasing-related information of Waqf properties. The module enables systematic recording and monitoring of key details such as lease information, lease period, lease amount, and other relevant particulars in a structured and transparent manner.

Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Dr. Chandra Shekhar Kumar, has encouraged all State and UT Waqf Boards to ensure the implementation of these modules and to raise awareness among eligible beneficiaries. The UMEED Central Portal was inaugurated by Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju in June last year, and serves as a centralised digital platform for real-time uploading, verification, and monitoring of Waqf properties.
